Karoo Experience:
This African safari runs through the semi desert region of
South Africa. Travellers will experience this rarity of Africa surrounded by dry
fossil rich land, romantic red sunsets and succulent plant species of this great
thirst land. In this region one can almost see every star in the universe at
night.
ItineraryDAY 1 Cape Town to
Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve Guests will be
picked up at the requested point in Cape Town and depart for Kleinplasie open
air museum in Worcester. The museum offers a unique sensory experience by
incorporating activities that reflects history in interactive ways, where they
perform numerous activities identical to those who lived there more than a
century ago. Snacks will be served on route as we will depart for Inverdoorn
Private Game Reserve.
Upon arrival an open air safari game drive will be
enjoyed, where guests will be learning about the semi desert environment,
succulent plant species of the Karoo and its mammals. Guests will later
experience luxury South African hospitality at dinner time and we will now find
ourselves in an area where it is the world’s best place to view stars at night
and being surrounded by African predators.
DAY 2 Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve to
Cape Town
The day will start with breakfast and a safari game drive,
where guests will be learning more about the conservation projects at Inverdoorn
and its environment in contrast with the Karoo. We will depart for the farm of
Platteklip in the Tankwa Karoo region, where we will discover some ancient San
rock art dating back between 300 to 3000 years. Champagne with snacks will
be enjoyed in the open air at Platteklip as we will later depart slowly back for
Cape Town on the scenic route through the Cape wine lands region. Guests will be
dropped off at their requested destination in Cape Town.
